Theo is a genuine Northern New Mexican. Theo was born in Espanola, New Mexico, and he grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2018, after returning from a work-study program in Washington D.C. at the United States House of Representatives, Theo graduated from the University of New Mexico with a major in political science and a minor in German. After graduation, Theo clerked for a criminal defense lawyer until he pursued law school.
In 2022, Theo graduated from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. At ASU, Theo focused heavily on many different areas of civil litigation, primarily civil rights, federal and state agency enforcement actions, and administrative rulemaking. Theo also had the opportunity to explore emerging legal trends in artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies, and biotechnologies. While he pursued his studies, Theo clerked for the City of Scottsdale Prosecutor’s Office and the ASU’s Pro Bono Civil Litigation Clinic.
Theo’s style blends the age-old Golden Rule with the strict approach of a no-nonsense litigator. From his education in government, politics, and law, Theo developed a deep respect for the Constitution and the American rule of law. For his age and experience, Theo knows a lot about what it takes to start a business and keep it going, and he also knows what it feels like to be the little guy. Protecting the people of New Mexico with the laws they should be able to rely on is Theo’s passion, and he brings that gusto with him to the office every day.
